Noun + 보다
In Korean, there is no specific grammar required to make comparative sentences (like "You are taller" or "This is prettier"). You simply add the adverb '더(more)' or '덜(less)' in the sentence.You put the marker '~보다(than~)' after the noun that is being compared. Many students confuse it with '보다(to look)’. However, they are completely different words with different meanings. (While the verb 보다 changes form when conjugated, this marker is just a word, always maintaining the form '보다')
바다가 강보다 더 커요.
The sea is bigger than the river.
빨간색보다 분홍색을 더 좋아해요.
I like pink more than red.
제가 아빠보다 더 많이 먹어요.
I eat more than my father.
오늘이 어제보다 덜 더워요.
